Overview
Get fast and reliable network attached storage with the TS-673A 6-Bay NAS Enclosure from QNAP. Featuring a 2.2 GHz AMD quad-core processor and 8GB of DDR4 RAM, this NAS is built for responsive processing and supports RAID 0, 1, 10, 5, 50, 6, JBOD, and Single modes. Two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports enable fast networking speeds, while six SATA III drive bays accommodate 2.5 or 3.5" SSDs or HDDs. Two M.2 SSD slots are also present, allowing for streamlined performance via SSD caching. Connect accessories via three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, as well as a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port.
Install various adapter cards via two PCIe 3.0 x4 expansion slots, including an optional entry-level NVIDIA GPU for graphics-heavy virtualization, or a 10 GbE networking card for faster performance. Utilizing AES-NI encryption, this NAS enclosure ensures data security while serving files. A buzzer and Kensington Lock slot also provide physical security measures. Monitor drive activity at a glance using the LED indicator. A 92mm system fan and 60mm CPU fan ensure internals remain cool, while delivering a low noise level of 20.3 dBA. The QNAP TS-673A runs on the QTS 4.5.2 operating system and is compatible with QuTS hero.
Dual 2.5GbE Ports
Both 2.5GbE ports are backwards compatible with 1GbE/ 100MbE speeds. Up to 5 Gb/s transfer speeds can be achieved by using port trunking.
Expansion Ready
Add extra functionality with PCIe cards, including 10GbE ports, SSD caching, extra USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, wireless networking, or Fibre Channel adapters. Please note, the TS-673A uses high-profile expansion cards.

Furthermore, one USB Type-C port enables fast transfers of large media files across devices, providing you with a more efficient workflow.
2.5GbE Switch
Transform your network with a wallet-friendly 2.5GbE switch Upgrading your network shouldn't break the bank, and 2.5GbE connectivity provides immediately noticeable improvements compared to standard 1GbE. QNAP offers 2.5GbE switches that support Multi-Gigabit NBASE-T and allows you to use existing Cat 5e cables to connect multiple computers and NAS for implementation of high-speed, secure, and scalable network environments without going over budget.
Supports QuTS hero
The TS-673A also supports QuTS hero, QNAP's ZFS-based NAS operating system. Providing end-to-end data integrity, data reduction (inline data deduplication, compression and compaction), and more, QuTS hero uses additional system resources to ensure an optimal environment for protecting business data.
Please note, QTS and QuTS hero use different file systems. You must remove all the drives from the TS-673A before switching from QTS to QuTS hero. QuTS hero requires a NAS with at least 8GB of memory, and inline Data Deduplication requires a NAS with at least 16GB memory. For optimal performance, 32GB memory is recommended. It is recommended to create an SSD RAID with at least two SSDs for the QuTS hero system drive to attain optimal system performance. Please note that M.2 SSD hot-swapping is only supported by M.2 SSD slots on PCIe cards (such as the QM2). M.2 SSD slots that are built into the NAS do not support hot-swapping.

Qtier Technology
Qtier Technology empowers the TS-673A with auto tiering that helps continuously optimize storage efficiency by automatically moving data between M.2 SSDs, 2.5-inch SSDs, and high-capacity HDDs based on the data's access frequency. Qtier 2.0 features IO-awareness that empowers SSD-tiered storage with a cache-like reserved space to handle burst I/O in real time, maximizing the advantages of SSDs.
Easy and Secure File Management
File Station allows direct management of files stored on the TS-673A and in the cloud. Users can easily upload files from their PC, drag and drop files between folders, rename and delete files, and configure file or folder permissions to prevent unauthorized access. Microsoft Office Online can also be used to directly view or edit Microsoft Office documents stored on the TS-673A. Confidential and sensitive data can be encrypted to add extra security.
Supports GPU-Accelerated Computing
Graphics cards are optimized for graphical calculations and transformations, but require significantly more power than other hardware. The TS-673A features PCIe slots to support high-profile graphics cards that do not need power cables, including NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 graphics cards to boost performance of applications such as video editing , 4K UHD transcoding, imaging processing in QTS, and performance of virtual machines via GPU passthrough.
Affordable Fibre Channel SAN Environment
Common Fibre Channel Storage Area Networks (SAN) devices are often costly. By installing a QNAP 16Gb Fibre Channel card (QXP-16G2FC 16Gb) in the TS-673A, you can set a Fibre Channel Target using the iSCSI & Fibre Channel app. Moreover, the LUN Masking and Port Binding features provide an additional layer of data security.
High-Speed 2.5GbE VM Backup Solution
With Hyper Data Protector, the TS-673A becomes an agentless backup tool for unlimited VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V VM backup. Hyper Data Protector features incremental backup, global deduplication, backup scheduling, and recovery compression.
