Overview
Expand your network storage capacity to support high-speed file sharing and backups with the TS-473A-8G 4-Bay NAS Enclosure from QNAP. This desktop NAS enclosure features four 3.5" SATA III drive bays, and installed drives can be configured in RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, or 10 mode to balance between performance and security, with support for JBOD and Single configurations. Performance can be further enhanced by installing up to two M.2 PCIe solid-state cache drives into the available slots. There are also two PCIe 3.0 x4 slots available for compatible expansions such as low-profile graphics cards to boost video editing performance, high-bandwidth wired or wireless network adapters, M.2 SSD storage cards, and more. The NAS is powered by a 2.2 GHz AMD V1500B quad-core processor with 8GB of memory, which can be expanded to 64GB. With its two 2.5G Ethernet ports, this NAS enclosure is designed to deliver the bandwidth to support intensive file access, large backup and restoration tasks, and media transfers. The TS-473A-8G-US 4-Bay NAS Enclosure runs on the QTS 4.5.2 operating system.
PCIe Expansion
Two PCIe 3.0 x4 slots are available for compatible expansions such as high-speed network interface cards, USB adapters, and graphics cards.
USB 3.2 Gen 2 Support
Connect compatible peripherals to the three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports to transfer up to 10 Gb/s directly to the NAS. A 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port is also available.
QTS Operating System
The app-based QTS operating system supports a variety of useful applications to support your workflow, including the powerful Qsirch file search tool. Boxafe can be used to back up your files, emails, calendars, and contacts. The AI-driven QuMaggie photo management app can automatically organize your photos for easy searching and sharing.
