Overview
Enhance your home or small business network's storage capacity for fast backups, data sharing, surveillance, and more with the QNAP TS-431KX-2G 4-Bay NAS Enclosure. Powered by a 1.7 GHz Annapurna Labs AL214 quad-core processor with 2GB of DDR3 memory, this entry-level network attached storage (NAS) enclosure features four hot-swappable 3.5" / 2.5" SATA III drive bays with support for RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, JBOD, and Single configurations. It integrates into your network through its dual RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports or its 10Gb SFP+ fiber connector. When configured in four SATA III solid-state drives in RAID 5 mode, the TS-431KX-2G can deliver sequential read speeds of up to 1117 MB/s and 511 MB/s sequential write speeds over the 10GbE connection. With support for Hybrid Backup Sync, snapshots, and 256-bit AES hardware encryption, your data is protected from potential threats and other issues. The TS-431KX-2G uses the QTS 5.0.0 operating system.
Fast Connection
Connecting the high-speed 10Gb SFP+ port to a compatible device helps you to spend less time waiting for large data transfers and backups to complete.
Hybrid Backup Sync
Hybrid Backup Sync (HBS) technology provides comprehensive disaster recovery by automatically backing up and syncing your data across multiple NAS devices, servers, and cloud storage services.
Snapshots
Use snapshots to fully record your system status and data to protect against accidental deletion, malware attacks, and more. QNAP snapshots are block-based and only record modified data, which helps to conserve storage space while reducing backup and recovery times.
Hot-Swapping
Hot-swapping support provides continuous operation by allowing you to remove and replace drives without having to power down the NAS.
Virtual JBOD
With Virtual JBOD (VJBOD) technology, you can quickly expand your storage space by connecting additional NAS systems.

Three USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports are available for transferring up to 5 Gb/s with compatible peripherals such as keyboards, mice, webcams, and external storage drives.

The TS-431KX-2G supports over 3000 IP cameras across 16 expandable channels. Two free IP camera channels are included, and the system supports both IP cameras and USB webcams.
