Overview
Expand your network's storage capacity for backups, media streaming, and other demanding applications with the TS-873A-8G 8-Bay NAS Enclosure from QNAP. Install up to eight 2.5" / 3.5" SATA III drives into this desktop enclosure, which supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60, JBOD, and Single configurations to balance between security and performance. You can also boost performance with up to two M.2 NVMe PCIe solid-state cache drives while using Qtier 2.0 to continually optimize your data storage. Featuring a 2.2 GHz AMD Ryzen Embedded V1500B quad-core processor with 8GB of DDR4 memory, this NAS enclosure is ideal for high-speed backups, virtual machines, and more.
The TS-873A-8G connects to your network through two high-speed 2.5G Ethernet ports that have link aggregation failover and load balancing support. Additionally, you can secure volumes with hardware-based AES 256-bit encryption and lock the bay doors. Install up to two devices, including entry-level graphics cards, multi-Gig network adapters, and M.2 drive adapters into the available PCIe expansion slots. Three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports are available alongside one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port for compatible peripherals such as additional storage devices. This NAS enclosure uses the QTS 4.5.1 operating system to manage its configuration, data, and supported applications.
2.5GbE Connectivity
Connect the dual 2.5G RJ45 Ethernet ports to compatible devices for bandwidth-intensive tasks such as large backups, data restoration, and media transfers.
Optimized Data Speeds
Installing up to two M.2 NVMe solid-state drives reduces latency for storage volumes to help improve the overall performance for data-intensive applications such as databases and virtualization.
Qtier Technology
With Qtier 2.0, the TS-873A-8G uses auto tiering to continually optimize storage efficiency by automatically moving data between the M.2 SSDs and the installed 2.5"/3.5" drives based on how frequently the files are accessed. Qtier 2.0 features IO-awareness that maximizes SSD-tiered storage performance with a cache-like reserved space to handle burst I/O in real-time.
USB Connectivity
Three 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports are available alongside one 5 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, allowing you to connect compatible devices such as storage drives and other peripherals.
