Overview
Expand connectivity or streamline VM applications with the QGD-1600P PoE Switch from QNAP. Featuring twelve 30W and four 60W Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports, this PoE switch provides a total power budget of 360W. Two 2.5" SATA drive bays provide onboard NAS functionality, while two PCIe 2.0 x2 slots provide room for adapter cards. Use the USB 3.2 Gen 1 and two USB 2.0 ports to connect various extensions. In addition to a Gigabit Ethernet management port, an HDMI port enables you to view surveillance video on an external monitor.
Utilizing a 1.8 GHz Intel Celeron J4115 quad-core CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM, the QGD-1600P PoE Switch is designed for responsive processing. The built-in QTS operating system supports VM, container, and cloud-based applications for easy networking and storage. Along with various hardware-based storage expansions, users can avail themselves of VJBOD, which allocates storage space from a remote QNAP NAS array for expanded functionality. Web-based management allows for easy control over various functions, while LED indicators and an LCD screen facilitate hassle-free status monitoring. Featuring a 1 RU rackmount form factor, the QGD-1600P incorporates two 40mm system fans for efficient cooling.
Supports 60W PoE++
The QGD-1600P is compliant with IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ and IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standards and offers Gigabit PoE capability via four 60W and twelve 30W ports for a total power budget of 360W.
Layer 2 Management
Providing comprehensive Layer 2 management features such as VLAN and LACP, this PoE switch allows IT administrators to efficiently control network bandwidth and enhance security via the user-friendly web interface. It supports IGMP Snooping, static MAC, QoS, and Wake-on-LAN functionalities for robust security and easy deployment in simple networking environments.

PoE Switch with VM Support

In addition to QVR Pro, VJBOD, and other storage applications, the QTS App Center also supports VMs for running many open-source software applications, including MikroTik RouterOS, OpenWrt, pfSense, and Ubiquiti UniFi. Integrated with public cloud services, the QGD-1600P meets the needs of various applications in IP surveillance, storage expansion, network security, and wireless LAN management. Furthermore, the dual-CPU design allows you to run QSS (QNAP Switch System) and QTS networking management interfaces independently. One-Stop IP Surveillance System with QVR Pro
The QGD-1600P works seamlessly with QVR Pro, QNAP's surveillance software service, to help build a one-stop IP surveillance system. By integrating PoE, NVR, and NAS functions, the QGD-1600P simplifies surveillance network infrastructure while satisfying the requirements of surveillance deployment, central management, video recording, and computing. The QGD-1600P offers up to 360W of PoE high-power IP cameras that comply with with the ONVIF standard. Through QVR Pro Surveillance Suite, IT administrators can manage cameras, record and play back videos, failover recording tasks, and monitor mobile apps. The QGD-1600P is equipped with an HDMI output to connect an external monitor for real-time video monitoring.
Scalable Storage via VJBOD
Install up to two 2.5" SATA drives, as well as PCIe, USB, SAS expansion cards, or a TR-004U RAID expansion enclosure to meet your NAS needs. Additionally, you can expand the storage space of the QGD-1600P via QNAP VJBOD. VJBOD allows you to instantly allocate storage space from a remote QNAP NAS as an iSCSI LUN and create storage pools, take snapshots, create clones from snapshots, or index multimedia files in the media library on the QGD-1600P.
Integrated Virtual Router and Virtual Firewall
Easily transform this PoE switch into a security router with a firewall via virtual router and virtual firewall software by installing MikroTik RouterOS and OpenWrt. You can flexibly configure Layer 3 routing functions and create site-to-site VPN tunnels between headquarters and branch offices while securing enterprise network data transmissions. The virtual firewall software pfSense helps enterprises separate or protect local networks and apply multiple security policies.
Create a Wireless AP Controller with UniFi AP
Adopting PoE and VM technology to support PoE wireless APs and the Ubiquiti wireless LAN management software UniFi, the QGD-1600P becomes a hardware- and software-based wireless AP controller.
